We had a
solemn start to our MFL Week 6, with a moment of silence and a community prayer
led by Jun Young in memory of Michael Nicolas. Rest in peace, Michael.
Since it
was Filipino theme night on Week 6, I will now switch to my native tongue for
the poetry and highlights sections of the blog.
Bawang, Patola, Labanos, pati Sibuyas at Kamatis
Nguni’t laging may pag-asa habang labana’y ‘di pa tapos
Lanes
21-22: Nanalo ng tatlong puntos ang Team
Luya (Atit, Gigi at Nonoy) sa Team Sibuyas (Lino, Lolet at JoelD).
Lanes
Lanes
31-32: Isang puntos ang napanalunan ng Team
Patani nina Rolly, Chona at Romy sa absent na Team Labanos (prebowl nina July
at Rosie, blind ni Ed). Makibaka, mga
Patani! Hindi pa tayo tapos!
Lanes

For
prebowls, schedule your lanes in advance with the Limerick Bowl front desk
(call 610-495-7143), so they can reserve two pre-oiled lanes for you. With weather getting cold, lanes may not be
available on evenings and weekends if you just walk in.
I have a
six-game tournament this coming Sunday, October 25 (3-game doubles followed by 3-game
singles for SE PA Womens 500 Club at Conchester Lanes): wish me luck, and especially good knees, good stamina and good focus to
bowl well all day long until the MFL in the evening…
Bowl,
baby, BOWL!!!
Thank you friends, for remembering Michael. In his last days, I believe the time he spent bowling was one of the few occasions when he truly was able to enjoy himself and forget about his mental burdens.
ReplyDeleteDear Ed,
ReplyDeleteIt was our honor and our pleasure to have Michael bowl with us. He is missed and prayed for, and shall long be remembered fondly.
Hugs,
Jing
